Summary
Jihoon Kim is a principal research engineer at Hyundai Mobis, working on various tasks related to OTA such as SW Architect, Project Leader, Developer, Quality Manager in OTA Platform Team. He has experience developing various products of OTA such as AVN, Cluster, ADAS, Camera.
With more than 18 years of development experience in global technology company including LG ELECTRONICS and HYUNDAI MOBIS. At LG Electronics, he developed media features for LG WebOS TV, Smart TV, 3D TV, and Hyundai-Kia Motors. At Hyundai Mobis, he is developing OTA features for Hyundai-Kia Motors. He is the Korean representative for SC32/WG12 software updates and serves as an ISO expert for ISO TC22/SC32/WG11 (cyber security) and WG8 (functional safety). He wrote ISO/TR 24935 – Road Vehicle – Wireless Software Update Using Mobile Cellular Network (Publication July 1, 2025).
He gave a presentation on the topic of OTA standards and regulations at Korea SPICE Network in 2024 and 2025
