Overview
The inaugural North American SPICE conference held on September 23rd and 24th, 2025 was a huge Success. Read more about it at the following link (Press release NASPICE 2025)
In September 2026, the North American SPICE community will host the 2nd North American SPICE Conference in Novi, Michigan.
The conference will showcase renowned keynote speakers, technical experts, and managers from various domains including systems, software, electrical, and mechanical. These industry leaders will share their invaluable experience and insights. The conference will not only delve into technical topics but also highlight the significance of management practices in achieving the results.
We are inviting industry leaders, practitioners, designers, developers, process experts and others involved in development and maintenance of safe, secure and reliable embedded systems to submit papers to NASPICE 2026. Please read the document in detail and submit your abstracts by the specified deadline.

The conference is also accepted by the international assessor certification scheme (INTACS®) as active or passive experience evidence (EE-EP, EE-AC) for certification as an Automotive SPICE® Lead Assessor (Competent and Principal).

Important Deadlines and Details on Submission
General guidelines: Submissions must report previously unpublished work and may not be under consideration for another conference with refereed proceedings. All submissions must be made in English language. When submitting abstracts, please indicate whether your proposal is for a normal session presentation (30 minutes) or a key note presentation (30 minutes) or a workshop (2 hour). Workshops should be interactive sessions that engage the participants in hands-on activities, rather than passively listening to a lecture or presentation.
For Presentations and Workshops:
- Please make your submissions by filling the Call for Presentations Submission form on the NASPICE website
- When submitting a keynote speaker nomination, please include the name, position, and a short bio of the speaker along with a proposal for the presentation topic to presentations@naspice.net. The email subject must be titled “Request for Keynote: <Name>”.
- All submissions—including presentations, workshops, and keynote speaker proposals—will receive a status update by April 22, 2026. Notifications will indicate acceptance, acceptance with modifications, or rejection.
- For keynote proposals, the committee may request additional details before final confirmation.
For presenters expecting Experience Evidence for Automotive SPICE credits, the presentation content must also reflect Automotive SPICE content.
- Presentation slides with clear instructions to the participant
- Worksheets or forms (if any) to be used by the attendee
- Maximum number of workshop participants
- Number of breakout teams (if any)
- Detailed agenda for the 2 hour session
- Input case study or material
- Additional stationery that you plan to use for the workshop (flipcharts, sticky notes, markets)
Keynote: Final slides must be submitted in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) or PDF format. The content should be suitable for a 30-minute keynote session. Please use your own template.

Submission Details
Acceptance Decision by the Selection Committee
The selection committee will review your submission and notify you of its status: accepted, accepted with modifications, or rejected. If modifications are requested, you will need to submit an updated proposal to receive final acceptance.

Benefits, Terms, and Conditions for Accepted Presenters and Workshop Facilitators
- The primary presenter will receive complimentary admission to the conference. Additional presenters for presentations must pay for event admission.
- Presentations can have up to a maximum of 3 presenters but only 2 presenters receive EE-AC credit award. In person attendance at the conference is mandatory for EE-AC credit award.
- Workshops are limited to a maximum of 4 presenters. The primary workshop facilitator will receive complimentary admission to the conference, while additional facilitators will be eligible for a 50% discount.
- Workshops can have a maximum of 4 presenters. Each workshop facilitator shall receive an EE-AC credit for active contribution. In person attendance at the conference is mandatory for EE-AC credit award.
- Attendees at the NASPICE Conference will receive EE-EP credit award
- Where a presenter is accepted for more than one presentation or workshop or a combination of both, the person can only receive one EE-AC for the overall conference event.
- By submitting your abstract for conference consideration, you confirm your availability to attend on the specified conference dates. The exact timeslot for your on-site presentation or workshop will be assigned after acceptance. The conference is a face-to-face event.
