Abstract
There is a lot of demand for memory safe programming languages in the industry. Projects are re-evaluating if they should stick to the tried-and-trusted way they have been developing embedded systems using C and C++ for the past decades, or if it is time to switch to a new approach.
In this presentation, we will present 4 different approaches to memory safety:
For each approach, we highlight benefits and disadvantages and what would be needed for teams to incorporate the approach into their day-to-day software development activities. Attendees will walk away with a good understanding of benefits and disadvantages as well as an understand of how to evaluate these benefits in their environments.”
